About Us
Dawson Powers was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. His father has owned and operated a reputable outfitting business for over 30 years. Based upon years of his own knowledge, experience, and expertise in hunting and guiding, Dawson recently decided to start a business of his own. Both Dawson and his wife, Kim, have strong family values. They truly love the outdoors and want to share their experience with you. Dawson is committed to providing the highest quality hunts. Back Country Outfitters firmly believes in wildlife management, and provides trophy hunts for mule deer on private ground. He respects the land owner and the land that he hunts to insure excellent hunting for future generations to enjoy. Making the clientele happy is a top priority for Back Country Outfitters.
Kim, Dawson’s wife, also plays a roll by wearing the hat of camp cook and takes pride in preparing home cooked meals while keeping the atmosphere warm, friendly and light-hearted. Dawson and Kim both served their country in the United States Army, and to show their support and appreciation to the troops, they offer a 10% military discount.
There are Parent/Child discounted rate packages available. If a party chooses to bring a non-hunter along, we welcome it as an additional price of $150.00/ day to cover transportation, lodging and food costs. Back Country Outfitters is willing to customize hunts to meet clients’ requests.
