Season Dates and Areas for

Back Country Outfitters

Mule Deer:   

    Archery:  East and West of I-90 Region C

                   Opens September 1 through September 30^th.

Rifle:  Region C

                   Opens October 1 through October 14^th on the East side of I-90.

                   Opens October 15 through October 31st on the West side of I-90.

Antelope:

  Archery:  Opens September 1 through September 30^th

Rifle:  October 1 through October14^th    

 

Elk:

    Archery:  Area 38 type 1

                   Opens September 1 through September 30^th.

                   ** We strongly advise to hunt this area for elk no earlier than

                   September 15^th**

        Rifle:  Area 38 Type 1

                   Opens October 15^th through November 5^th. **

                   **Back Country Outfitters provide two five day elk hunts per year

                   ending no later than October 29th.**

    We run our hunters until the October 26 in this area.  For instance, if you book the 1^st week, we only provide a 5 day hunt; but if you book your elk hunt for the 2^nd week (October 22-26^th) we  can accommodate up to 3 additional days at a rate of $150.00 a day/person with the last day to hunt being October 29^th. (This allows us to get our camp tore down and out in time of season closure for our area.)

    

 

Fall Bear:

             Rifle or archery:  Area 2   Sept 1-31st or until quota is met

 

Mountain Lion:    September 1 through March 31,or until the mortality

                               quota closes

 

Varmint Hunts:    Available during the following months:

                               February through August
